Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - definitely a green chili note and vanilla and general wood. Dark chocolate dominates however. And there’s smoke in there from the base beer. Taste - vanilla, chocolate and the chilli is more subtle this time. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture. Long, smooth, elegant finish. Overall - the chilli is lost on the taste somewhat but I’m not complaining as most chilli beers overdo the heat side. A lovely beer.
