This beer is very popular! Extremely complex and strong at 7.1% ABV. This beer is well balanced between the caramel-malt driven profile and the dry, supporting hops. Look for hints of dark bread and a slight fig or raisin taste all backed by a strong resin, but not overwhelming hop presence.

Courtesy of douglas88. Pours copper – amber with full tan head. The aroma is musty sweet sticky dried malts, crystal malts, mild levels of molasses and some pine hops. The taste is peppered with bitter pine hops along with sweet malts, molasses, some caramel notes and crystal like malts.

22oz from the Epic
Appearance: Pours dark mahogany with a nice beige head and a good amount of lacing left in the glass
Aroma: Pine, caramel and citrus
Taste: Smooth mouthfeel. Pine at first then malts with hop bitterness in the finish
I like this beer, another example of Epic’s great beers. They state ~40 IBU’s, but it seems like more.
