Bottle at home. Pours deep amber, nose is caramel, toffee, pineapple, taste is similar, juicy, a little grassy.

Bottle from Hippo Beers. Pours murky red-brown with a thin off-white head. Very woody and earthy. Pine shavings. Almost a stressed yeast feel to it. Acidic. Behind all that lingers tinned pineapple. Taste is fruitier, tropical, but that acid vibe is still there. Tart almost on the finish, and woody still. Hmm.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Murky amber body with a medium off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma of strawberry laces, stewed apple and maple syrup. Flavour of parma violets, pine and caramel. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A classic hoppy Amber Ale - with a cool label. I’ve liked every beer I’ve had so far from both of these breweries.
