Keg at MK, Bethnal Green, 31/08/17. Murky reddish brown with a very small beige head that doesn't stay to make friends. Nose is sweet malts, syrup melt, good coffee grinds on the aroma. Taste comprises toffee, brown sugar, dark fruit rinds, stewed fruits, less coffee than the nose suggested, tangy fruit rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a mellow boost. Fine for the style ... shame the coffee fell away in the taste.

Keg at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Burnt orange pour with a diminishing white head. Aromas of toffee, coffee, treacle, caramel, marzipan. Flavours of treacle toffee, caramel, vanilla, milky coffee. Nice.

Hazy red beer, thin white head. Smell is bitter coffee, earthy malt. Flavour is TOTALLY different. Sweet, the maple syrup is there as advertised, malt, coffee. Sweet but not sickly aftertaste. Really nice.

Keg at the dreadnought. Pours murky orange brown, nose is smoky, toffee, roasted, maple syrup, coffee, taste is similar, sweet, caramel.
