Aroma of roasted malts, peat, hint of wine, whiskey, plenty of oaky notes, alcohol, coffee. Flavour is light sweet, a bit vinous, slightly boozy, with a smooth finish. Peculiar, very strong aroma and flavour. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Almost black. Malt, raisin and whisky in the aroma. Dark chocolate. Malty sweet flavor with Mon Chéri bonbons and loads of whisky. raisin. Has thinned somewhat because of the barrel aging. Nevertheless a complex and delicious brew.

33 cl bottle @ home. Color is all but black. Light beige head with thin layer retention. Aroma’s: whisky, red fruit, spiritus/glue/acetone. Retronasal: spiritusglue/acetone, whisky, peat, fruit, sour. Flavor is moderate sweet, with lots of alcohol/spiritus/whisky, light sour/fruity. Strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Finish with charcoal, ash, light bitter. Interesting, but I can’t say that I particularly like it.

Bottle @ Cafe Derat. Black coloured with a beige head. Nose is roasted malts, coffee, peat, iodine, a bit alcoholic. Flavour is roasted malts, burnt coffee, boozy, very peaty. A bit harsh. The peatiness is a bit off-putting.
