Epic Brewing has been making high-strength beers in the land of low-strength (Utah). Rather than expand their operations there, they chose to open a 2nd brewery in a more encouraging state, Colorado. This is their first batch of beer brewed here in Denver. Big, fruity hop aromas.

Bottle at craig’s. Pours clear golden, nose is sweet toffee, floral, taste is dry, toffee, light fruit.

Almost clear gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light with a fine crispness. Thin malts bring thin creamy sweetness. Tangy lemon and mild orange pith. A mild to medium bitterness before a light semi dry finish. Somehow feels quite English.

Pours clear golden, bit of white foam. Aroma has some green and grassy hops, resiny. Taste is also quite resiny, somewhat overpowering the body. Overall, decent IPA, just this balance between body and hops didn’t fully click it for me.

Bottle from gbbf 2015 and drunk at home. Clear gold lasting white head. more my kind of ipa. Hops allowed to shine over pale malts. Some peach some grapefruit little bit of herb. Pale malts in the mouth are quite neutral as is the yeast. Then some toast and bitterness harsh on the finish. Fresh I can imagine this sings. Still it?s a decent ipa but the harsh bitterness is not great. 3.5/5 Re rate can from GBBF 2018 and drunk on a train. Good citrus flavours and hops Still some bitterness but a light easy drinking ipa.

Bottle at chriso’s. Pours Rich gold with a frothy white head. The nose has lightly pissy hops, some lemon, grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor with crackery pale malts, pine needles, grapefruit, rindy lemon. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with pale bread sweetness, grapefruit, lemon, hay. Not bad.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is smooth fruity. Bitter, light citrusy and crisp hoppy. Dry, bitter, light fruity and crisp hoppy finish.

Pours a straw yellow with 2 fingers of foam.
Smells grassy with grapefruit to back it up. Malt shows up as notes of bread.
Grapefruit and grass, light on the latter, light bitterness, smooth overall. I get some bread aboot mid palate.
A pretty light weight IPA here.

Draft. Hazy golden yellow color, off white head. Aroma of fresh pineapple and fruit. Taste is bitter fruit.

On draft at the Wyoming Brewers Festival in Cheyenne 2015. Pours a cloudy gold with an off white head. Citrus nose. Flavors of orange and grapefruit zest. Bitter finish.

can - Pours golden with a one finger white head. It smells mainly of hops with an earthy character and a touch of citrus. The taste, as expected, focused on the hop bitterness. There’s resin and a hint of citrus. Pretty good.
