Made with classic Pacific Northwest Cascade, Centennial, Mt. Hood in the boil and dry hopped with more Cascade hops. Cascade aroma dominates the nose, so be sure to sniff it like a wine snob. Plenty of ultra premium Maris Otter malt and three specialty malts give the beer a nice smooth sailing biscuit like aroma and body, some sweetness, well balanced against 5.8% alcohol by volume.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins for $3.99. Pours a bit hazy orange appearance with a nice, lasting, off white head. Citrusy, grapefruit/orange, a bit sweet, slightly spicy hoppy, a bit earthy aroma. A bit tangy/sweet, toasty malty, bready, lightly bitter, orange fruity flavor. A bit syrupy. I didn’t enjoy this as much as some pale ales from Epic.

Bomber from Bruisin Ales. Pours a clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of biscuit malts, floral hops and a faint dusty note. The taste is caramel and biscuit malts with a bitter earthy and citrus hop finish. Medium bodied. Decent.

Cask: Tangerine and grapefruit nose, subtle pine needle hints. Cloudy amber medium yellow head, good lacing. Soft carbonation. Orange peel, light grapefruit. Quaffable, decently hopped, good balance. It’s what you want in an APA. Versatile in food pairing.

22oz bottle split with Anndiesel. Unfiltered dulled brown-tan. Steady, creamy beige head. This is is really nice. Creamy, subdued carbonation, a solid, well made APA. A touch heavy and lingering in the finish, it lets you know this is a pretty big beer at heart, despite the creamy body. Grassy grapefruit hop tones are steady throughout, adds a spicy balancing bitterness. Caramel, rich malt tones. Solid, respectable offering.
