Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear black with a warm, burgundy tint and a small, off-white head. Subtle roast and vanilla in the nose. Light body, sweet vanilla acents, but it really isn't all that sweet, the vanilla deceives you. Soft on the palate, really mild roastiness and next to no bitterness. Milds always were a strange breed - like an extremely watered down Stout. 100622

500ml Bottle - Dark brown with red tinges. Vanilla, roasted malt and chocolate in the aroma. Vanilla, chocolate and some roasted and slightly burnt notes stand out in the taste.

Cask-conditioned at the Punchbowl (JDW), York, 20/1/2017. Ruddy brown in colour, with a decent, off-white, head. Sweet mild with some brown sugar, cocoa powder and red berry fruits, before a vanilla laden finish. Ok.
