Draft tulip shaped snifter at 3Floyd’s. Sweet raspberry smell, of course. Color is red-brown with smoke in appearance. A thin fizzy soda head. Taste is of raspberries, with sourness more from fruit than anything else, although I would guess at some brett. Creaminess in mouthfeel, which at first I put to wheat but just maybe the light Belgian malts. In other words, it’s a fruit beer that keeps much of its beer background instead of being some soda pop.

Keg at Maltings York 4 May 06. Dark red colour. Pink head. A sparkling champagne feeling. Raspberry all the way.

draft - Pours reddish brown with a thin head. Raspberries dominate both the aroma and the taste, though that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s not complex, but what’s there is good. It’s considerable tartness keeps it from being cloying. Give it a try.

Bottled 2005. Reddish brown colour, mediumsized offwhite head. Raspberries and some sourish hints in aroma. Flavour is sour raspberry with a bit wineish hints. Wellbalanced between sweet and sour, palate is semi-dry. Very refreshing.

0.375 l bottle(edit 2005): Slightly red amber colour with a thin off-white head; strong fruity (raspberry syrup) sweetish and a bit sourish nose with a tinge of caramel; sweet fruity flavour, accompanied bvy some acidity; short, sourish, a bit sweet and fruity finish with some "woody" undertones. Not too sweet, but a bit too artificial......The good sour-ale qualities are a bit destroyed by a too distinctive artificial flavour !

Dark bloody red color with small reddish head. Strong rasberry aroma. Sourish, carbonated mouthfeel, fruity flavor of fresh rasberries. Some acidity in the aftertaste. Style is propably more fruit beer than FSA. Looking forward corked vintage version of this.

Quite a pretty looking beer, all purple and whatnot. Tons of raspberries in the aroma and flavor. Too much actually. The tasty base flemish sour is drowned out in a mass of raspberry juice

Cask handpull at Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool. Very dark reddish brown, pinkish beige head. Like the cherry version, this is a well made beer. Fruit integrates perfectly with the malt. Refreshing raspberry ripple ice cream aroma. Fruit never becomes syrupy or over powering. Dry sour finish with lingering fruit. I love these beers
