A smooth, smokey, bitter-coffee Porter with a sweet licorice finish and aromas of smoke and coffee. Smoked Porter which is also a recreation of a brew from a former brewer (Thomas Miller) in the Ferry from 1785.

On cask @ SRAF. Opaque black with a lovely off white head. Milk chocolate. The taste Adds the dimension of smoke. Lovely. Poor start but it kicked on beautifully. Lovely beer.

Bottle. Black body with a thin beige head that quickly fades. Very faint lacing. Aroma of smoke, liquorice and brambles. Flavour of chocolate, roasted malt and soy sauce. Thin body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. A well balanced, flavoursome beer - although the body could be fuller.
