A dash of salt. A touch of tart. That’s what makes this unique German-style wheat beer a seasoned professional at serious summer thirst quenching. With its glowing golden color, peach & citrus nose followed by a prickly mouthfeel that leaves a gentle tartness and a dash of salt on the palate, the Old Pro never fails to bring you back for another sip.

Draft at Pizzeria Paradiso. Poured a hazy golden color with a small white head. Aroma is tart lactic notes, some wheat, and a touch of sea breeze. Flavor was nice tart notes, salt ocean, with a light twist of lemon zest. Very enjoyable, tart but easy to drink. Girlfriend loved this one. I look forward to trying this one again.

2oz sample at Bier Baron. Pours a totally clear, limey gold with some cloudy white head. Nose has some minerality, salinity, lime, lemon, mild grass. Flavor is the same, some brinyness, some lemon, salty, earthy, straw. Briny finish.

More like a Berliner Weisse than a Gose. A little sour with some salt. Pours very cloudy blonde. Not much head or lacing, a lot of yeast. Average carbonation. Tap at Meridian Pint.

GABF 2012. Pours with a mostly clear yellow hued body with a quick to fade white head. Aromas are floral with lavender, grassy, lemony tart acidity, lightly grainy. Flavors are acidic, stone fruit, passion fruit, light acidity, peaches and coriander. Lively carbonation, and off dry. Not a typical gose by any means, but tasty.

GABF 2012. Sadly this is bad. Acidic aroma that reminds me of stomach acid, and lightly sour flavor. Hard to drink. I think something went wrong.
