The Auld School is the result of a Baltic ferry drinking session with Glenfarclas Distillery Manager Callum Fraser and a collaborative chat between ourselves and our pals at Broughton Ales. I was away with Callum on Viking Line in Sweden doing a whisky fair earlier this year when I pitched the idea of doing a half n half pairing for them. Not long after, the legendary George Grant, signed off on the project and before we knew it Marc, myself and the team at Broughton were tasked with coming up with a brew to pair with one of the iconic whiskies of Scotland, Glenfarclas 10 Year Old. We decided the only way to do this was to go old school... and do a Wee Heavy... with a twist. Fruit. Fruit. Glorious fruit. We hope you enjoy Mr Grant!
