Standing firmly on the east coast end of American IPAs, our India Pale Ale emphasizes balance. An insistent malt character from traditional floor-malted English barley harmonizes with a generous amount of Chinook and Amarillo hops. Fruity and aromatic, our IPA is perfectly balanced.

On tap at Pro Brewers Night at AHA Philadelphia 6/27/2013 Lightly hazy medium gold color, bready caramel nose without enough hops. Decent beer, but not hoppy enough for me.

12oz bottle from Wegman’s, King of Prussia, PA. A deep amber with a billowing cream head; floral hop aroma, with perhaps a touch of citrus; soft, fruity malt flavour with lots of dry, herbal, hops; and a lingering bitter finish.

Daffodil, marigold, and honey nose. Cloudy amber, medium head, full of large chunks, some lacing. Strong daffodil flavor, but not extremely bitter. Lemon zest present especially in the finish accompanied by distinct black pepper. Should pair exceptionally well with fish, sashimi, and sushi. It won’t win any beauty prizes, but this is a clean, nicely hopped, delicious beer.

6/10/2011 on tap @ Yards Brewing Company (2011-533)

Clear copper red beer, creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: exotic fruits, pineapple, bit soapy. MF: soft carbon, full body, creamy smooth texture. Taste: fruity, peaches, some pineapple, passion and citrus fruits, sweet touch. Aftertaste: fruity citrus, piny, pretty sweet. Very well balanced IPA with soft dry bitter finish. Not your average "I can put even more hops in then you" IPA.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite - Jersey City, 3/17/11

Aroma: The nose has some pine, toast, caramel, and a little grapefruit, fairly subtle overall
Appearance: It pours a cloudy orange color with an off-white head and some decent lacing
Flavor: The taste leans toward the bitter side, caramel malts laed into a pine hop bitterness
Palate: A nicely drinkable beer with a medium (leaning toward full) body and lively carbonation
Overall Impression: Overall, this isn't a bad one at all. Drinkable and solid. Fairly well balanced with a nice bitter presence. I'd drink this one again.

Malty with a bitter hop bite upfront. Earthy, light pine, herbal, biscuit malts, with light fruits. Very much in the English style, it seems. Finishes much more malty and sweet than it begins. A nice alternative to the overly citrus hop bombs out there even if the sweet, nearly barley wine finish got to me after a while...
