330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small, frothy, fading, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty dark malt aroma with all the flavours the label reads: chocolate, coffee, toffee, vanilla, a lactic touch. Taste is even more intensive and displays the identical spectrum. Really good.

Keg at the Euston tap. An opaque black coloured pour with a lasting tidy creamy mid tan head. Aroma is dried chocolate, earthy hops creamy smooth coffee roast, praline, peanuts. Flavour is composed of bitter dark chocolate roast, milky smooth coffee, praline, caramel. A bitter woody roast and faint earthy hop in the finish. Palate is medium bodied, with high carbonation that stops it from being cloying, semi drying finish. There is a lot going on but it remains pretty drinkable, solid.

Keg at Howling Hops Tank Bar - Hackney Wick. Pours deep brown with a light, foamy tan head. Huge coffee aroma, underscored with rich chocolate and well roasted malts. Medium to big sweet flaovour with strong baking cocoa, burnt sugars, espresso, scorched earth. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Bittersweet coffee and baking cocoa in the finish, with faint toffee accents. Wow, robust character to this one. Really true coffee notes. Excellent.
