Aroma: The nose of this beer is quite fruity and pretty sweet with lots of citrus/orange/mango, there's also some distinct rye bread notes in there, spice, and it has some pine hops as well
Appearance: It pours a clear orange color with a large, lasting, and frothy off-white head/lace
Flavor: This one is not quite as sweet as the nose lead me to believe it would be, though it certainly starts somewhat sweet with the same fruits present as in the nose, but the medium-plus hop bitterness takes over mid-palate, with the spicy notes, and continues through the finish
Palate: This one has a medium body, it feels clean and fresh early on, which rolls nicely into its smooth creamy mouthfeel, there's some soft-to-average carbonation and a dry finish
Overall Impression: I really found myself enjoying this beer quite a bit. I was expecting more of a spicy rye bread type of IPA, but what I got was a big fruity IPA with some rye and spice notes. Where I did find the rye/spice was in the mid-to-late part of the palate, but because the hop bitterness is also at its most pronounced at that point, the rye gets a little overpowered. Regardless, it works quite well. From the pour all the way through the end palate, I enjoyed this beer.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber gold with a tan head that dissipates to the edges slowly. Aroma has a earthy pine hop with a bit of grass and a backbone of grain and rye. Flavor starts with grassy and pine hops but finish has more earthy grains and rye.

50cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian - Thanks! Pours hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel, fruits, malt and pine. Medium body. Sweet and caramelly with a pleasant, hoppy and bitter finish. Expires in November, so i guess it’s not so fresh. The hoppy flavours are not so dominant, but it’s still a pleasant beer!

Henrik Ol & Vinstove, tap: Pours a brownish colour with a light tan head. Aroma is malt, pine, and Earth. I didn’t get any citrus out of this and specifically took notes about that. Taste is slightly hoppy with a leaning towards the maltier elements. Slight sweetness. Slight astringency. Good IPA.

A golden IPA with a thin off white head. In aroma, a smooth biscuit malt with light vinous notes, and butterscotch. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light grainy notes, pungent notes, light butterscotch, interesting. On tap at Sunset Grill, July 15, 2012.

From a 500ml bottle on 10/8/2012. Pours a murky very dark orange with a small head. Has a lovely fruity, piney hop aroma with some caramel malt in the mix. In the mouth, you get terrific balance. There are lots of big flavours but nothing over the top. There’s caramel, lemon, apricot and lots of orange, some spicy rye, and lovely big, lingering hoppy bitterness with hints of orange peel and grapefruit. The body is quite full. A fantastic rye IPA. Rating 4.1.
Re-rate 8/6/2018. Did not enjoy as much as last time. Still pretty tasty but slightly over-carbed.
