Bottle from bier-deluxe.de. Amber, moderate hazy body, with a medium, creamy, white head, that leaves a good lacing. Sweet, fruity aroma of strawberry, peach, melon, grapefruit, some other tropical fruits, caramel, bubblegum. Taste follows this, also biscuit, grass and some pine. Mouthfeel is medium, creamy, with a lively carbonation and it finishes bitter, with citrus, grass, some tropical fruits and also sweet malt notes. Good! A very malt driven IPA, which usually isn’t my favourite take on this style, but I like this one, as it is very well balanced, not too sweet and with a light enough body for a good drinkability.

Sample from tap, CBF 2014. I cannot believe that I haven’t rated this classic from one of my favourite brewers before. Clear, amber-golden colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, spruce, resin, caramel malts and peach. So fresh! So sparkling! Taste is bitter. Medium body with a creamy texture. Finishes lasting dry and bitter with citrus fruits and grape. Bloody fresh and hoppy - Excellent IPA.

330mL bottle, pours a cloudy dirty dark orange with a large beige head. Nose brings out stale resinous hops, some earthy notes, and a dry caramel malt backing. Flavour brings out the same - the bottle says best until April 2015, but this seems like it has expired already. Not cool marketing an IPA like this. I'll have to rate it accordingly.

Bottle on the train back to Copenhagen after Fastelavn Smagning 2014, 02/03/14 thanks to Jan (Fonefan) for the trade. Hazed orange amber with a moderate light beige covering that retains well. Nose is bitter orange, earthy hops, toasty, light bread notes, apricot. Taste comprises pith orange, soapy tones, hint of spice, grassy, bitter tropicals, earthy hop notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so, despite a 2015 BBD this seemed a little tired and the soap was a little too powerful.

Pours golden with white head. Slightly fruity aroma with mango, peach and citrus together with caramel and resin. Not the most hoppy IPA, caramel and bread in the taste together with the typical IPA-notes. Very nice and fresh despite the lack of typical hopiness.
