Clocking in at 15-20% ABV, 120 Minute IPA is continuously hopped with a copious amount of high-alpha American hops throughout the boil and whirlpool, and then dry-hopped with another pallet of hops. Unfiltered and abundantly hoppy, it's the Holy Grail for hopheads!
We brew 120 Minute IPA a few times a year, but it goes fast. If you find some grab a few bottles -- some to enjoy and some to age.

Check out our Quick Sip Clip to see Sam talking about 120 Minute IPA. In the video, Sam also shows off some of our vintage pieces of brewing equipment, including our second-generation continuous-hopping device, Sir Hops Alot. He also touches on why we dialed 120 Minute IPA back in ABV, some aging recommendations, and a little lesson on IBU measurement. Enjoy!

Rated May 2006. 03/04/05 Bottle. Poured into small Scotch tulip glass as nearly clear golden-orange color with lasting thin white head and decent lacing. Nice spicy hop aroma while still chilled. First taste impression: fruity, malty, hopy, syrupy with little alcohol presence (that last part is sure to change as the beer temperature rises). Just the right level of carbonation. Aroma still mild as it warms up. Hop bitterness is low in this beer. I think some of what I’m tasting is coming from hop flavor. Yum. The warmer temps have created more alcohol aroma. This does taste a lot like a barlywine. Lingering tastes of sweetness and bitterness in the finish. The sweetness does build up making it difficult to drink more than 4 or so ounces.

Nicely citric and caramelly lean dry taste, creamy, huge bitterness, ending abruptly in a way. 7/4/7/4/15 2013. Huge thx Brandt! With Jirka and Zhenya too. Hazy dark amber body, no head. Huge caramelly oxidation in the aroma, herbal, dusty, creamy, nail polish, caramelly, huge herbal hops. Bottle. A- Caramel, orange blossom, sweet breads. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Caramelized sugar, caramel, bitter, raisin, molasses, orange marmalade, pine, honey, woodsy, boozy. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, chewy finish. O- 5 years in the cellar definitely transformed this. I never tried it fresh so really can't compare, but it's a barleywine at this point. Still very boozy. 5 oz would be perfect. A bottle is worth sharing. Can't imagine when it was originally 21%.
