Bottle courtesy of GT2, thank you sir! Murky brown color, small brown head. Aroma of chocolate flavored scotch and dates. Taste is smooth and carbonated chocolate soda with espresso. Interesting.

/13/12/12//12

At a tasting, thanks DSG, smallish head, dark brown colour, aroma of cherries and very ripe berries with vanila and oxidised notes, flavour of chocolate, dried fruits, wood and a hint of nuts with a strong sourness. Just good.

Bottle at a tasting. Bottled 8/25/08. Cellared 12/2/08. Black-colored with a light brown head. Aroma of oak, a bit of bretty hints and vinous fruitiness. Sweetish-sourish flavor with oak, berries, other fruits and a drier, more sourish finish with a bit of roasty notes. Full-bodied. Lovely.

Cask. A hazy deep red beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and acidic brettanomyces notes from the wood combined with notes of vanilla, leading to a dry woody and alcoholic finish. The alcohol leaves a slight burn in the mouth.

Draft @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Pours a very dark brown color almost black with a longlasting tan head. Has a fruity malty slightly vinous dark fruit aroma with some spicy hints. Dry woody malty and vinous alcoholic licorice flavor with hints of dark fruit. Dry fruity malty woody finish with hints of dark fruit in the aftertaste.

Very dark brown color. Dark fruit, dark chocolate, brandy and alcohol all make big appearance in the nose. Mildly sour, plum, raisins, burnt sugar, treacles, dark chocolate, boozy mouth, but not sweet. A Belgian dubble on steroids!

Draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen
Black color, no head. The aroma of mellow roasted malt and caramel is not persistent, it leaves room to the alcohol. Strong mouthfeel, flavor of caramel, chocolate, roasted malt, light liquorice and tobacco; very light raisins at the end. Warming alcohol. Confusing mix of quite good elements. Powerful.
