Draught @ Oluttupa Viisi PenniΓ€, Helsinki

Pours black with reddish haze and a small foamy head. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and piney hops. Taste is quite roasty and malty with notes of raw, dry piney hops, berries and fruits. Hints of chocolate, licorice and coffee. Warming, sweet, dry and bitter finish. A bit unbalanced, overly hoppy imperial stout with slight notes of fruits.

Bottled 375ml (Cosmic Comic Cafe, 6202/8973)
Dark ruby color, creamy brown head. "Sweaty hoppy" nose with licorice and alcohol. Medium to full-bodied. Flavor is very alcoholic ... licorice, caramel, hops. Lots of pine needles. Quite raw imperial Cascadian Dark with suprisingly thin mouthfeel.

37,5 cl bottle @ O’Hara’s Freehouse, Bottle #6399, bottled on 16.05.11
Rather hoppy aroma with roasted malt and some sweet berry. Sweetish flavour has a lot of hops too, but a bit more roasted. Also something that is close to a berry juice and some hints of vanilla. Complex and weird, but good.
Draught @ same place
Almost as good, but less hoppy and somewhat lighter on flavour. 3.9.

Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has strong notes of citrusy hops, alcohol, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, wood, and citrusy hops, leading to a dry roasted finish. The alcohol tickles the mouth. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle. Quite lame for being a 11,5% triple dry hopped Imperial Black IPA... but on the other hand Im not sure if I would have liked a beer like that. This one is rather OK. It has got a certain herbalness to it.

Bottle. Pours black with a big tan head. Coffe, hops and soy. This is a rather well made BIPA showing the problem with the style, it is just a strange cross between IPAs and Stouts.

375 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Black liquid with medium to big light tan head. Aroma is hoppy and roasted with notes of chocolate, coffe, tropical fruit, pine, hop cones, grapefruit. Balanced. Very appropriate for the style. Taste is medium bitter with light sweetness and nice roasted, chocolatey notes. Balanced and smooth. Full bodied with long finish and low carbonation. Very nice and balanced! Almost more like a well hopped Imperial Stout than a Black IPA.
