Bottle. Copper color and a long lasting head. More malt than hops. Some salt. Dry malt flavor with some mineral flavor. Very English in character.

Bottle from Maruhn. Clear orange with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - fruity. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 280914

Bottle from Tesco. It pours deep amber with a thick white head. The nose fresh bready maltage, toasted cereal, light spice and earth. The taste is bitter, earthy, spice, mild caramel, floral and toast with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded. Not bad for what it is, but I had hoped for more depth.

Pours dark amber with a big fluffy head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Very pleasant IPA.

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry English style hops is dominant with some dry caramel malt notes also perceptible. Taste is also dominated by some dry English style hops with light floral undertones some white pepper notes and some dry caramel malt. Body is about average with good carbonation. Quite enjoyable and nice to enjoy a non-American style IPA once in a while.

Bottled 500ml. -Dark golden coloured, small to medium off-white head, lots of small bubbles of carbonation, mild malty nose. Moderate malty, light caramel and fruity hoppy taste with mild touch of alcohol. Bitterish finish. Not bad.

Wow, a rare British IPA that states IPA on the label; yes, right there on the label AND isn’t classified as some other nonsense here on ratebeer. Maybe they haven’t made it to this one yet. Gotta keep low and quiet and maybe they won’t notice. –ssshhh-- A quiet 50cl bottle pours with a clear soundless absolute crystal clear copper body that has thin gold edges and softly supports a cobwebby dirty white head that leaves behind spotty lacing. The modest aroma offers up dusty malts, a resiny smelling spicy hop note and an echo of grapefruit hops right in front of a mineral sort of sensation. The taste does jump at you with a mix of resiny hops and lightly roasted maltiness. The resiny bitterness slowly allows for a peak at the flavor hops that are hidden where I’m getting a light grapefruit and spicy hoppiness. Toward the finish it picks up a mineral sensation to join in on the wavering and fading hoppiness and persisten maltiness. All in all pretty nice where there’s a fairly assertive hoppiness and overtly assertive malt backbone.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a clear dark amber with a generous off white head. Nose is caramel and bread with only a slight hint of fruit. Sweet malts dominate with minimal grapefruit bitterness and some spice appearing at the end as it warms. Medium slick mouth with average carbonation.

An English IPA from the LCBO. Yeah, right. Pours a clean amber colour, but slightly unfiltered (becomes hazy by the last pour). Fruity aromas of malt found in an amber beer with a little hop. Weird, as the first pour smells like a Coors malt (bad swill), and so on as I pour some more. The head is frothy, slightly off-white, had decent retention and some good lace. Again, the taste reminds me of an amber beer with some mild hop creating some light bitterness in the finish. Caramel malt notes are felt. Not much of an IPA, with too much of the macro brewery malts and adjuncts.
