Bottle - Lots of orange and starchy notes. Clearish gold with a small white head. Sweet, orange peel and and a starchy finish. Not bad.

Bottle pour and split at Matt’s. Happy to help you pull away in the imperial ratings. Pours a golden color with a patchy foam head. A ton of orange fruit aroma and flavor. Actually has a fresh orange slice feel to it which is very nice. Low bitter finish. Lingering orange. Unique. Very well done.

500mL bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out tropical fruits, juiciness, piney hops, resin and caramel malt. Flavour is fairly bitter, with orange rinds, tropical fruits, resinous hops, and big caramel malt. Bitter, sweet and fruity. Maybe a little old, but I love the balance. Excellent.

Tasting at Matt’s
Strange aroma, flowery, tree sap, light aroma of hop. Lean body; delicate malt flavor; good degree of bitterness, some hop resins, but overall not enough hop quality; blossom qualities.
A bit weird. More was expected, but it’s still a very good beer.

Expensive 50cl bottle pours up with a clear pure gold body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up biscuit and sweet malt nuanced sticky pine, cantaloupe and grapefruit hoppiness. The taste delivers malt and biscuit like sweetened grapefruit and pine hop bitterness. It gets a tad juicy with hops here and there and then has a pleasing earthy tea hop note surfaces about midway. The bitter near resiny hops and almost caramel malt sweetness and boozy finish just aren’t coming together well enough to make this work (particularly at this price point). Drinkable but I am struggling to enjoy it. Will I finish the 50cl’s? YES!

Sample at the Fat Heads Tap Takeover at Kraft House No. 5 on 07/30/2015. Slightly hazy pale golden color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, hops and grainy malt. Medium to full body with flavors of piney hops, citrus and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is towards resin/dank. Med body or better. Flavor is dankish pine/resin over a decent malt backbone. Drinking this well towards room temp. Flavors are pretty strong. Finishes hoppy. Smooth and tasty. Looks like I don’t see this one like the other raters.
