A rich, red, brewery conditioned ale with fruity/toffee malt character and strong citrusy hop aromas.

Clear ruby beer, off-white head. Citrus-y hop smell. Apple and malt in the flavour, the more bitter hop following up in the aftertaste, with a lemony hint to it. Flavour doesn’t hang about much and it’s not one that I’m going to be dashing back for either but it’s a nice beer with a nice balance of flavours with the fruit, malt, hop and toffee. It just doesn’t do anything remarkable.

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Amber colour, mediumsized slightly off-white head which leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, some crystal malts along with mild floral and some resiny notes. Flavour is floral and mild fruity bitterness along with some wood as well as mild toffeeish and crisp malty notes.

500ml bottle. Deep coppery red with a foamy white head that shrank but didn?t disappear entirely. Sweet toffee aroma, that was mirrored in the taste, but was well balanced with fruity hoppiness. Not spectacular but a good beer that I’d happily have again

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - light caramel biscuit bit dry. A hint of stewed apple. Taste - more pronounced stewed apple. Light caramel biscuit still there. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - heading towards an Irish Red ale in style. Satisfying. It doesn’t do anything special but what it does do is all nicely in proportion.

Bottle. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head that holds well. Lively carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of stewed tea, toffee and dried fruits. Flavour of lightly roasted malts, red apple, earth and a peppery finish. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. Well balanced and tasty.
