Two very different pals from two very different Cities decided to make two very different beers one day. Sometimes that’s what it takes to make mething just right. The first, a tart brown ale, was left to mature in pinot noir casks. With an imperial brown as its compliment, the two found an unlikely balance. Subtle vintner oak aromatics escort a soft balanced body, layers of lightly acidic nut and toast flavors, finishing clean with a suggestion of dark chocolate. Pair with beef, pork, vinaigrette salads, and your “oud-ess” of friends.

On tap at Wakestock. Pours a hazy brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is oak, funk, leather, dark fruit. Medium body, grape, oak, funk, leather, vinegar, acidic but not overpowering, good.
