Aroma: fruity and hoppy. Flavour: a fruity and dry bitterness and slight creamy mouthfeel. Colour: yellow amber with a full white head.

Bottle from the brewpub. Clear golden with alasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light grainy and moderate hoppy - grass. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 140315

On tap in Galopper des Jahres, Hamburg on 12th Dec 2014. Unfiltered brew, so it came a misty light golden colour with a good frothy white head. The nose was slightly bready in nature with a malty, yeasty and hoppy undertone. Taste was not as exciting as I had hoped for: grassy, slightly hoppy but weak flavoured really. Mild bitterness towards the end of each sip, but lacked depth and character.

Draught @ Barley & Malt, Hamburg. Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma of malt, light grain, yeast, grassy hops, flowers. Flavor is malt, yeast, light grain, bitter grassy hops, flowers. Medium body, average carbonation, lasting grassy bitter finish. 311014

Draught @ Galopper des Jahres. Hoppy, quite sweet and with a light breadiness. Notes of herbs, grapefruit and citrus. Drinkable and with a sublime complexity.

500ml bottle. Cloudy, yellowish, pale golden colour with absurdly huge, frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, white head. Bready, malty aroma, slightly doughy yeasty, a touch of straw, grassy hoppy overtones, a spicy touch of hay. Taste is husky, strawy, grassy, some hay-spiciness, hints of protein, minimal tartness; light bodied and slightly watery. Not really an easy-going culinary delight due to a complete lack of flattering malt sweetness; nevertheless a nice, natural finish Zwickel-Pilsener.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig hopfig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig bitter, getreidig, grasig.

Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass very zippy, nice head. Starts intense malty-grasy, fine hoppy background without being too dry. Not as sourish as other beers from the brewery. Well balanced finish, mild-hoppy. Not bad!
