Das Ricklinger Pils ist eine typisch spritzige norddeutsche Bierspezialität, die durch ihre nordische Herbe und kräftigen Hopfenaromen besticht. Das erste Pilsener Bier stammt aus Pilsen in Tschechien, wo auch große Hopfenfelder liegen und weiches Wasser als Grundvoraussetzung fließt. Das Ricklinger Gemeindewasser ist daher perfekt geeignet, um ein goldenes Bier Pilsener Brauart zu brauen.

bottle, Danke Jevers Zeuge! Slightly hazy pale yellow with a medium-sized head. Very hoppy aroma. Very hoppy flavours dominate the beer. Full-bodied, malty background and a good combination of an aromatic and a bitter hoppyness make it interesting and unusual. Quite bitter, even for Northern German standards. A good one!

Bottled, thanks jeverszeuge! Hazy golden, rich creamy head. Intense grassy hops up front. Dry and bready, very soft. Fresh and very drinkable with good bitterness. Lovely pils!

Getreidiger, sehr hopfiger Geruch. Getreidig-süßer Antrunk mit malziger, aber nicht ausgeprägten Note. Im Mittelteil folgt eine geballte Ladung Hopfen, der süßlich angehaucht ist. Lange Zeit klingt er aus, dabei kommt im Nachgeschmack nochmal ein kräftig würziges und herbes Aroma hinzu Nach einiger Zeit setzen auch leicht fruchtige Aroman ein. Sehr gelungen! Bügelverschlußflasche: Golden coloured with a slight haze, fluffy white head; oaky hops (maybe sulphur,too) in the slightly malty nose; solid bitter flavour, soft, smooth MF; robust bitter-sweet finish with hoppy aromas in the aftertaste. A well done brew.....

Bottled. An unclear dark orange beer with a light orange head. The aroma is sweet and very flowery, while the flavor is slightly acidic with notes of straw, malt, lemon, and vitamin C, leading to a dry bitter end.

(swing top bottle, traded with Jevers Zeuge – many thanks!) Hazy and cloudy yellow colour with a big fluffy foamy white head. Dusty malty, yeasty aroma with a touch of citrus and honey and shy flowery and herbal hops in the background. Moderately bitter flavour, malty taste with strong yeasty notes, light to medium body, lively carbonation; dry and a bit harsh yeasty bitter, slightly herbal hoppy finish. After six weeks of being in the fridge it is still fresh and shows no signs of infection. All in all a pretty decent modern German brewpub product.
