Bräunliche, dunkelrote Farbe mit kleiner, fast nicht vorhandener, weißer Schaumkrone. Prägnant süßer, malziger Geruch. Geschmacklich ausgeprägt süß malzig mit Karamell und Alkoholnote. Prägnante Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

F: medium, off-white, quick gone. C: dark coppery, red hue, almost clear. A: sweet caramel, toffee, bit rum, vanilla, bit spicy, bit chocolate, port wine, candy, complex. T: sweet huge malty, vinous tones, port wine alcohol retronasaly, candy cherries, warming alcohol, honey, chocolate liquor, almost complex taste, full body with lower carbonation, very nice, fully enjoyed, BB: 11/22, brewed 06/12/15, bottled 2016, beer #2900, 33cl bottle from surething_ii, many thanks.

0.33 l bottle from Beerlovers, Vienna. Shared with Slušaj vamo! Clear amber, small off-white head. Syrupy, sugary, some alcohol, raisins, light spices. Very soft texture, creamy, strong. A bit boozy. Medium body, soft carbonation, metallic from alcohol, light finish.

$5.60 bottle, Wine Warehouse. Pours clear brown with a small beige head. Aroma is wet dog, caramel, earth. Flavor is whoa sweet caramel, burnt sugar, earth, brown leaves. Perhaps too sweet for me to love it, but this is interesting.

Cette Samichlaus est assez extraordinaire. Une présence en bouche incroyable et des arômes liquoreux de caramel, de raisin, épices, candi, fruits confits, vin cuits explosent en bouche. On prend une sacrée claque. Je serai cependant incapable d'être davantage dithyrambique car j'ai été incapable de finir ma bière (je n'ai même pas réussi à la boire au quart...). la raison? Beaucoup trop sucré pour moi. Je la trouve même plus sucrée qu'un Monbazillac (et cela va sans dire que par rapport à un Sauternes). Les 14 % Abv passent de fait sans problème d'ailleurs et se ressentent peu à part par la chaleur et la puissance qu'il confère. Compliqué à noter de fait. Une chose est certaine, c'est du très grand travail et si vous appréciez les alcool liquoreux vous serez aux anges. En verre, nous sommes sur un ambré soutenu (EBC aux alentours de 36 parfaitement limpide, une effervescence et une mousse quasi absente (avec 14 % Abv, logique). La suite ressemble à la chevauchée des Walkyries.
