Draft @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with smoky hints. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with smoky hints. Has a roasted malty smoky finish.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8BC, kld., DK-1655 Copenhagen, Denmark.Unclear dark black brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark roasted, burnt, roasted, chalk, licorice notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark dark malt, light licorice and chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110525]

Small brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty burnt smoky body with licorice and resin notes. Dry-sweet fruity burnt smoky taste with sugary notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dry-sweet earthy peppery tropical fruit aftertaste with burnt smoky notes. Nice, but the flavours do clash a bit. (0.1l draft at DBF’11.)

Draught@CPH BF 2011. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is smoked wet wood, tar, liquorice, some hops and mild yeastyness as well. Flavour is tar, wood, mild syrup, some mild roasted notes. Pleasantly balanced and lasting tarry and ashy aftertaste.
