Very short-lived rim on clear metallic red-copper liquid, no visible carbonation. Very aromatic apples' nose, more depth than in most cider, complex. Very perfumey-aromatic wafts, old apple skins, bit of caramel. Sweet and tart at the same time! Very unique sensation. Very intense, quite sweet apple flavour, but absolutely not syrupy or cloying in any way. As said, the MF is something unique. Come across this? TRY!

Bottle at the Old Dears, from Callans, 08/07/17. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white head that soon dissipates to edgeing. Nose is toffee apple, straw, light funk dust, apple pulp, orchard wood. Taste comprises caramel, apple pie, tannins, faint vanilla, lightly smoked straw. Medium bodied, fine crisp carbonation, drying close. Decent funky cider.

Bottle from Ciderwinkel, large sample. Clear orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of sweet apple, bit skunky, some apple pie. Taste of sweet mashed apples, slight spicy apple pie note to it, but mostly just apples. Boring and not complex enough if you ask me. Least of the bunch in a small cider tasting this evening.

Bottle courtesy of John Nolan at Johnny Off L. in Rome-Italy. Thank you. Pours a amber-golden color, clear and shining in the glass. Some bubbling on the surface. Nose is a little vinous, cellar notes, apples skin. Mouth is not a blast of sweetness, more balanced. Green apple, complex cider. Impossible not to drink it all. A real gem! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
