On tap @ Secondo torneo dei mastri birrai, Rozzano 2016. Il gusto al naso si aggira dalle parti del luppolo. L’intensità olfattiva è molto elevata e la persistenza olfattiva è apprezzabile. Il cappello dalle bollicine fini e carbonazione media è di schiuma compatta, cremosa, aderente e termina con un bel pizzo sul vetro. L’aspetto del liquido è velato. Il perlage è costituito da bollicine medie, La carbonazione è di poche bollicine, praticamente piatta. Il colore è ambrato carico. Il corpo è pieno. Il dolce è medio e l’amaro è deciso. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è lunga. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali sono luppolate e di facile beva. Il finale è amarognolo, lungo, pulito e complesso. Il retrogusto è intenso. L’aroma in bocca riporta sentori di caramello, miele, biscotto, fieno, resina, erba, agrumi e pepe.

Draught @ BQ - Birra Artigianale di Qualita (Navigli Grande 44), Milan. Pours amber with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, caramel, bread, wood, nuts, hay. Flavor is light sweet, malty, yeast, nutty, hay. Medium body, soft carbonation, light sweet finish. 131215

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aromas of light nuttiness, light fruit, light herbal hops. Taste is light sweet. Crisp finish. Decent bitter.

Sample from the brewery. Appearance - chestnut with a lovely red shade at the bottom of the glass. Nose - light pine, then biscuits. Gets a bit like sticking your head in a malt bag after a while. Taste - hobnobs, then more grainy malt. Toffee at the back. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a dry Overall - a bit grainy, but decent bitterness.
