Omnipollo Maz (formerly Mazarin) is my take on a “thinker’s beer”. Rather than being big and undecipherably complex I wanted to create something that would calm a hop yearning nerve without fuddling the brain too much. In other words, a lavishly hopped ale of judicious ABV — an Extra Special Pale Ale if you will.
In fact, so extra special that it snatched a gold medal at the Stockholm Beer & Whisky Festival in 2013.
In November 2014 we doubled the hop bill.

A clouded yellow with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is pineapple, straw floral lemon, tropical fruit and pollen. Flavour is composed of semi sweet crisp, lemon tropical fruits, mango, straw, jammy. Palate is crisp grains, highish carbonation,. ... Decent.

Keg at Heidrun - High Wycombe. Pours murky gold with a creamy, white head. Pithy, juicy citrus in the nose, pale bread, tangerine. Light to medium sweet flavour with more juicy hop character, lemon and tangerine, peach, light bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Nicely citrusy in the finish, with mild sweetness, some pine needles, further peach. Nice APA.

Pours unclear yellow, small white head. Smell is bit hoppy. But not so strong. Taste is full, bitter, Sharp citrus aspect. Very creamy lactic sweet side. Typical omnipollo, so very nice, but no real surprise here

On tap @ Hoppiness Beer Stop. Pours murky peachy color with thin creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits and cereals. Taste starts juicy fruity, follows grainy, a bit papery and with oats, mouthfeel is smooth and later rather dry, while finish is medium bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Smoothie :)

Bottle at the Fork and Bottle, Zurich, Switzerland, Saturday 25th June 2016. Wow this beer looks fabulous, it almost glows orange with a large frothy white head. Creamy mouthfeel, sort of like a soft citrus ice cream and not unlike the collabs they did with Buxton, it’s lovely, hoppy, refreshing but smooth with a creamy edge. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0
