Närkes första lager öl som är en dubbelbock med inslag av gotländsk rökmalt! – Jag har länge velat brygga en dubbelbock, säger HG Wiktorsson, bryggare på Närke Kulturbryggeri. Men experimentlustan blev för stor så det blev närmast en hybridöl, med inslag av tysk bockölstradition, gotländsk ”dricku” och man tager vad man haver á la Cajsa Warg. Från bockölen har jag hämtat styrkan ABV 7,5 %, från gotlandsdrickan rökmalt och enris samt det som fanns och fick åka med på slutet var nakenhavre och Julitahumle.

Tap. Clear copper color with eggshell head. Aroma is smoked ham, woodfire, juniper. Taste is smoked, juniper, quite jammy. Smoky finish. Low carbonation. Delicious!

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2016 day 2. Clear dark golden with creme head. Big smokey resin, pine, caramel, fudge toffee. Medium sweet and ashy bitter. Tap at Borefts. Clear very deep golden with off white head. Massive smoke, goat droppings, hay, juniper, peat, dead leaves, sweet malts, caramel, herbs. Over medium sweet and smoky bitterness. Over medium bodied.

Very smokey, nice! Quite herbal as well. A very tasty beer, would definitely have it again, but blown away by others there.

Draft sample @ Haand fest ’16, Drammen. Shared with the Norwegian tasting crew. Cuivrée, col fin crémeux blanc-cassé. Arôme au nez bisé, fumé, touche de baies de genévrier qui complète le tout, restant dans un style tout à fait Narke. Palais est malté, pâle, pointe de fumé, juniper berries, avec un côté de bouleau/boisé birch wood et léger fumé. Le tout fonctionne bien sans être trop surfait, petite amertume en fin de bouche tout en gardant un côté tourbé. Apparemment un style usant de genévrier et de miel.

@Borefts 2014, caramel met lichte kaki kraag. aroma is hoppig, caramel, iets rokerigs van de mouten. Smaken zijn matig zoet, caramel, rookmout, komt wat weeïg binnen. afdronk licht rookmout smaken, caramel, toch aardig bier..
