Tap at BeerTemple, nobody had any idea which version it was so I’ll rate it here. Hazy golden with creamy white head. Sweet caramel and fudge, dried lime (?), onion, bakers yeast, light spicy in a roasted and bitter way. Medium sweet and under medium bitter. Medium bodied with creamy feel. Interesting stuff.

Can from Antenna America. Mike Hess Solis IPA 7.5% I really like the fact that the whole top of the can comes off the can, that’s pretty cool. The color is a bright gold with a filmy white head. The aroma is orange blossoms with lots of musty funk. Medium bodied with decent hoppiness and a candy sweetness but it is kind of a boring beer. For the 700 yen or so it goes for in Japan I can’t justify buying another Mike Hess where the coolest thing about it is the can.

Can. Grassy, slightly vegetal nose, some vanilla and tropical fruit. Hazy gold with lace. Sweet and fruity, tropical fruit candy. Light sweet and slightly vegetal. Not my thing.

Can from Cornelius. Hazy pale golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, melon and pineapple. Flavour of orange, biscuit, white grape and a bitter, hoppy finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Light fizz. Very lean and drinkable.

Draft @ beertemple. Aroma of citrus, grass and a little orange. Fresh taste of pine, orange, caramel toffee and some citrus. Not bad, just middle of the road.

Draught @ Beer Temple. Clear light orange color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, nicely hoppy, lightly fruity and moderately bitter. Average to medium body and carbonation. Quite pleasant.
