500ml bottle from the beerhive. Glad I read the warning on the bottle about the high carbonation. Even so, pouring into a wet glass got a ton of foam that took ages to calm down, whilst more started creeping out of the bottle. I tried knocking some of the fizz out by giving it a stir, but that just lead to me losing more! What I managed to drink was a nice, clear red brown, thick off-white head. Lots of spice on the nose, cooked apples. Toffee, spice and more apples on the taste. Spicy lingering finish, with a good cleansing bitterness.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy ruby body with a thin off-white head that slowly fades. No lacing. Aroma of strewed rhubarb, honey, red apple, salted caramel, biscuit and nuts. Flavour of marzipan, blood orange and peppery spice. Medium body with an oily texture. Very fizzy. A rich, warming beer.
