Almost clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy, fairly dry and finely crisp. Minerals. Light saison herb nicely integrated with floral fruits. A nice savoury and slightly bitter vibe runs throughout and raises this saison above the mass. Savoury fruity finish. Nice one. My kinda saison.

Bottle. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Clear, bright yellow. Pillowy, thick, bright white head. Nose has lime juice. Dry, bready malts. Some vanilla pod. Hint of stone fruit. Taste is soft, bready sweet. Some lime tang. Turns mineraly bitter. Soft and massaging mouthfeel. Bitter twang to finish. Nice one.

Bottle at home in London - picked up from Beer Gonzo. Pours totally clear yellow-hold, highly effervescent, with a billowing, frothy white head. Lemon peel in the nose, flaked wheat, grain husk, straw. Lightly sweet with some husky bitterness, more citrus rind, a little lemony tang, dried wheat, subtle grass. Light bodied with lively carbonation. Finishes with mild sweetness, biscuit, further soft citric tang, bitter grain husk, grass, hay. Good stuff overall. Clean and quenching.

On keg at Ushers. Appearance - hazy golden with a decent head. Nose - intense lemon zest. Candied and confectionery lemon notes too. Light herb and spice. Taste - more of the same. It’s very intense. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good example of the style.
