Bottle from The Beerhive, Hazy amber/red body with a thin white head that slowly fades. Good lacing. Aroma of toffee, grass and mashed strawberries. Flavour of marzipan (Luckie Ales’ house flavour, in my opinion), dried fruit and lightly roasted malts. Medium body with a powdery texture. Soft fizz. Quite bitter for a Scotch Ale, which I like.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Pours clear copper, thin white head. Aromas of burnt toffee, cinder toffee, light floral notes. Taste is sweet, some nutty booziness. Clean finish. Not bad.
