Bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - like kalamata olive skin. Purple/brown/black and shiny. Nose - spicy malt and that sweet green herbs. Taste - malty and menthol. Get the lemon balm and bay leave. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - it grew on me. Good.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours dark brown, thin off-white head. Big oregano nose, aquavit, menthol, general overpowering herbiness. Taste is more herbs, but avoids being soupy. Slightly sweet, but not a bad bitterness considering.
