Bottle at home, 17th October 15. Pours clear and clean, slight haze. The aroma is lemon, candy. Taste is lemon hop, great balance and lingering bitterness. Sorachi works really well in this style. Probably the best I have had from the M and S line up.

330ml bottle from M&S, Edinburgh. Pours clear gold with a thick white head. Aromas of white pepper, lemon bubblegum. Taste is coconut, bubblegum, spicy saison linger. Quite a marked difference to the cask version I had recently, badged as Adnams.

33cl bottle from Marks & Spencer, Camberley. Pale straw with a billowing white head, and heavy collaboration; the aroma has some Belgian yeast and lemony citrus; bitter, citrusy taste with a leafy, herbal bitterness; and a clean floral finish.

Bottle. Nose is lemony, vanilla, strong corriander, pepper, yeast, earty notes. I always find the lemon too pronounced with Sorachi. Taste is surprisingly bitter, lemon rind, lime, herbal hops, yeast, slight pepperiness and spice and too much bitterness in the finish. This is better than I expected (I really anticipated it would be horrific), but itโ€™s not a good example of a Saison, the bitter hops are too pronounced, and there is none of the funk floral and grass notes one would expect. Itโ€™s really just a spiced IPA.

Bottle shared. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of peppery saison yeast, plastercine, spice and light fruits. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.
