This rich, complex beer is brewed with British Fuggles and Goldings hops and has all the earthy, peppery notes of a classic IPA. The hoppy notes of this beer work wonderfully with Indian spices, so it's great with curries.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at M&S Oxford Street. Pours totally clear copper-gold with a sturdy, creamy white head. The aroma holds bready malts, some faint berries, toast, leaves, grains. Medium sweet flavor with lightly jammy berry character, some lightly toasted grains, plum, earth. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes lightly sweet with more grainy, toasty bread, ripening berries, some orange rind, dirty leaves. So so.

Bright clear deep amber beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Good fine carbonation. Bready malts, rich. Mild marmalade, decent hop spice. Little earthyness. Mild malt cream before a smooth and semi dry finish. More spice. Clean and rich and tasty.

33cl bottle from M&S, Wokingham. Amber with a fast fading cream head; slightly sour malty aroma; dry malty taste with some orange marmalade; and a dry, earthy, hop finish. Rather good.

Bottle at home from M&S Euston. Deep reddy copper coloured pour with a big rocky off white head. Aroma is initially sweet berry, hedgerow hop, little tea, sweet nutty / biscuity malts. Later there is some soap on the nose. Flavour is biscuit , toasted brown bread malts, earthy hop, hedgerow berry, assertive hop bitterness. Little metalic in the finish. Palate is medium bodied, little sweetness, moderate carobnation. Ok.

Bottle from M&S and drunk at home. Clear dark amber colour lasting beige head. English peppery hop aroma. Some sweet toffee, but this is all about that English classic peppery hop and leafy hop flavour. It’s a good looking, good smelling, good tasting English IPA. I like the peppery hop finish, it rounds off the toffee in the mouth nicely. All in all, very drinkable, I’d certainly buy it again and I like it muchly.

Clear amber. Film of off white head. Fruity malts. Fruity hop. Some toffee. Drinks bittersweet, with the sweet lingering longest. Bit of a clarty palate. Nah. Headache material. My dad would like this, which is neither recommendation nor criticism. But he is 72...

Bottle from M&S Euston, rare live rate on the train to Cov, 22/04/15. Golden amber with a well appointed light beige covering that dissipates then stays for the show. Nose is pale malt, bubblegum, bread dough, melon, light floral notes. Taste comprises mellow hops, tangerine, caramel, soft bread, light pine trace, candied fruit peel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Adequate IPA, mellow and easy drinking, would prefer more of a hop injection but does the job for a train rake !
