Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 29/1/2014. Near black with a slight, off-white head. A hoppy, beer, with touches of fruit cake and roasted malts. Enjoyable.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Black body with a huge beige head that holds well. Excellent lacing. Mild aroma of milk chocolate, citrus and fig. Flavour of creamy malt, chocolate and orange, however it feels a bit diluted somehow. I’m not sure if the concentration of flavours isn’t quite there. Medium body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Faint carbonation prickle. A reasonable Black IPA that just lacks intensity.
