2015 vintage. 375 ml bottle from the brewery. Deep red / Crimson in color. Aroma is funky lambic yeast, raspberries and sour oak.

Raspberries are not my favorite fruit and by no means are lambic’s something I drink on a regular basis. That being said this is still real drinkable. Sharp acidic notes that are mildly balanced by the berries. Lasting lingering tannic oak. Maybe I should have held on to this bottle a bit longer, not sure if it would help it overall.

Bottle thanks to Brett. It pours cloudy red with a quickly dissipating white head. The nose is fresh raspberry, raspberry pip, funky, jam, wood, lemon sherbet and sour green apple. The taste is crisp, tart, sour raspberry, minerals, funk, some bright acidity, cider vinegar, sherbet and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, juicy and tart. Perhaps a touch too much acidity/vinegar on the taste, but good anyhow.

Bottle thanks to Team Boston. Pours a cloudy ruby copper with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong cherry skin, funk, oak. Thin mouth, very tart, cherry, oak, high acidity, good.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy red with an off white pinkish head. Aroma of tart red fruits, raspberry, a little funk and light manure. Flavour is light sweet and heavy sour. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

375mL bottle at tasting. Pretty pink beer color. I had no idea this had raspberries until looking at the ratings now. Generally, this beer was just too acetic, not nail polish but real sour and tart. Almost too drying, this was the first beer I sampled and after a sip I needed water. Its not overly acetic but definitely very sour and needs something else to balance the beer. But if its truly spontaneously fermented I am still impressed.

Poured from a 375 ml bottle with a bottle date of 2012. Aroma is fruity and acidic but more complex than a one dimensional jam bomb. Some citrus, cherry and tropical fruit. Light earthy herbal notes and hints of oak and leather. Pours a pale red with some orange hues and a large, slightly pink head that recedes to a thin film that lingers. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor has a light sweetness that quickly turns sour. Light fruit notes with some citrus and tropical fruit; not as fruity as I would expect. A bit harsh in the finish with too much oak tannins. Some earthy herbal notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Some astringency from the oak tannins and low alcohol warmth. Overall, the aroma is superb and reminds me a bit of Rose de Gambrinus, more than any other American framboise. The flavor has too much oak and not enough fruit.

Appearance: It pours a pinkish color with a soft head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, sour fruit and plenty of funky flavors
Palate: The body is medium, it has average carbonation, and a mid-tart finish
Overall Impression: Another really nice one to try at Where the Wild Beers Are. Not too much written for the overall in my notes, so I'll just leave it with that.

Bottle at Grote Dorst. Vintage 2010. Clear red liquid with small light pink head. Aroma of red berries, funk, barnyard, earth, lemon and vinegar. Taste is dry and medium sweet with notes of funk, harsh malt and red berries. Medium bodied with medium to high carbonation. Nice but not that elegant.

Bottle at Culmination Fest: Poured a reddish pink with a white colored head. Aroma is strong funky berry. Taste is very mouth puckering fruit with lots of tartness. Not my cup of tea for sure.
