(bottle, 75cl) Hazy, dark brown colour with a big and beige foamy head. Yeasty and distinctively blue-berry fruity aroma with notes of toasted malt and herbal hops in the background. Roasty bitter flavour with shades of vinous fruitiness, medium to full bodied with a calm, almost creamy carbonation. Moderately roasted malty and slightly fruity taste with notes of liquorice and traces of caramel; almost dry, roasty and moderately hop bitter finish. Good. 03.II.10

Deep dark brown, ruby color, huge brown head. Christmas spices and licorice in the nose. Herbal licorice, grassy flavor, some dark malts with alcoholic backbone. Very complex and nicely bitter.

Bottle that I picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgium 31-10-09 consumed 03-12-09 Pours dark murky brown with an off white head. There is a little damp spiciness on the nose and a little yeast. This is fine but I feel that it lacks the oomph that I was hoping for, its malty bit sweet, doesn’t really do much for me.
