Bottle from Asahiya. Fruit and carmel nose, raisins, plum, some earthy, citrus hops, spicy too. Medium ornge-brown with a fine, fluffy head. Chocolate, caramel, dry, dusty, earthy hopping, and a very dry and quite bitter finish. Cocoa, a bit of coffee too. Very hoppy in an original way. Light, clean pallate, though full and smooth. Very interesting, hoppy and bitter, to balance the chocolate sweetness. Nice.

Draft @ Delirium, Brussels.

Re-rate. Old rating sucked. 3.2 was the original rating. Think it’s better now. Bottle @ home shared by Dutchdrebus and Ansjelaah. Dark red to brown color, medium sized off - white head. Smell and taste malts, slightly sweet, slightly yeast, a touch of wood. A lot more pleasant than the first time I tried it.

Lecker! 12/12/11/13/12/12

Bottle @ home (from Bert’s Bierhuis). Beautiful brown color with rocky beige head. Aroma’s of red fruit, dark malts and spices. Flavor is (not too) sweet, somewhat roasted and bitter. Quite bitter finish with roast. Good old-fashioned Belgian beer.

Dark smooth beer. Hard to place flavour. Some fruitiness and a dry bitter tea. It’s an alright beer though!

Bottle: Poured a deep hazy brown color ale with a super large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light candi sugar with some light dry fruits notes with some light pepper notes. Taste is an interesting mix between some strong caramelized malt with some notes of dry fruit and some peppery yeast notes. Body is full but could have been even fuller with good carbonation notes with no apparent alcohol. Very well brewed and enjoyable though a bigger body would have been even better.

Dark green, big bottle shared with Skinnyviking. Opaque, dark-brown body topped by a decent, beige head leaving fragile lacing behind. Dark malt-fruity to the nose. Earthy malts, dark fruits and spices in a well balanced taste profile. Bittersweet finish. Well bodied (Plan B, Copenhagen 06.11.2010).
