Proefglas van ’t vat bij Delirium Hoppy Loft – ok meubel donkerbruin met een romige, lichte mokka kraag – ruikt naar noten, zoet donker fruit, chocolade dessert, zoete kruiden, karamel – smaakt naar lichtjes bittere mokka, kruiden, lichte wijn toets, mout, zoet donker fruit, goedkope chocolade dessert, lichtjes geroosterd, Belgische gisten toetsen – minder gas, beetje oplos mondgevoel – gaat ermee door – kerstbier seizoen is nog altijd bezig

Draft: Little aroma. Cloudy ruby red, thin head. Malt forward and hot. Cranberry and malt with flavor without the tartness. Filmy mouthfeel. Rather disappointing.

A reddish brown beer with a big, creamy and blond head. Aroma of roasted malts, spices and some citrusfruits and "belgian"fruits. Taste of dark fruits, some roastiness, spiced, some yeast, herbal bitterness. Very smooth to drink, medium bodied. Very smooth and pleasant, quite complex and interesting beer, Rulles knows what to do.

This 0.75 Cork and caged bottle was taken at the lovely D’elices Et Caprices in Brussels between Christmas and 2012 New Years Day. Murky brown body with an off-white crown of huge proportions, which left good solid lacing. Mix bag in the nose, raisins, plums, dark berries, hoppy citrus hints, yeast and some caramel maltiness. The taste was also of mixed flavours, mostly following the smells mentioned above: however you can add some mini hop bitterness along with ground coffee and flakes of dark chocolate, strange how the coffee and chocolate didn’t feature in the aroma. This was the third beer we tasted here, it wasn’t the strongest, but it certainly had the most flavour and body depth, we definitely reviewed in the right order. Pleasant and easy to sip, a Christmas brew without to many wintery ways to it, nothing really special though.

14/08/2011 Birrifugio Trastevere (tap). Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Eleganza e bevibilità. Notevolissima a dispetto della gradazione alcolica bassa. Una signora birra!
