Sample at the brewpub: Barley’s has a beer with the same theme and name so I was intrigued to compare and contrast. Barley’s is an Imperial though, and either way this brew isn’t quite on the same level. The beer is clear amber with a thin light beige head. Spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hops and caramel. Medium-bodied with a fair amount of hops flavor, along with some sweet malt and spice underneath. The finish is hoppy and lingering. Decent but not great.

Draft sampler, at the Brew Kettle. Quite the li’l hop monster they’ve got here (currently listed as 45 ibu). Hop smell and taste is a bit grapefruity, and more than a bit harsh, the way a hophead would love. Has a proper pale ale color, light brownish-orange, and a thin head held back by its hop load.
