I picked this one up on a trip to Cleveland. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium amber color with a large foamy orange-white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was caramel with moderate floral and piney hops. The flavor was bitter with sour caramel and a rough mix of fruity, floral and piney hops. The finish was long, bitter, rough and hoppy. Medium body. Ok.

Bottle shared by jcwatts. Pours clear amber gold. Fluffy white head. Nose of pineapple, pale malt, pine and caramel. Taste of same, but some spicy herbal notes in taste. Also, bready malts dominate the malt profile. Piny resin finish. Medium body.

Bomber from Whole Foods Marker - Dublin, OH. Pours a clear copper with a large creamy off-white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of big earthy, floral hops and big toffee malts. The taste is toffeeish malts, resin and citrus hop notes. Well balanced. I’m really starting to dig these guys’ hoppy stuff.

Big bomber bottle from vintage estates. Cheap, just $5. Color is like pale lager, maybe a tad darker, like yuengling er sumthin. Initially comes across rather strong like a IPA. However, the hop bite fades a little after the swig and then it just rides as a stronger IPA flavored APA. Pretty good CO2 but that hop bite just keeps kicking, slug after slug. A little much for this lager lover. Rips my taste buds like multi-floral rose. Stronger medicinal feel and linger on the finish, definately you can tell this is 6%, no foolery here. Now I know why this stuff rates so high here, it should be in the IPA style.

Maltier than I had expected, though it was rather full of hops. It was nicely bitter, sweet malts, citrus. Full bodied with lively carbonation. A decent pale ale.

Bomber courtesy of crizay. Thanks Chris. Pours brilliantly clear copper with off white head. The aroma is pretty full with caramel, caramel malts, some pine, some soapiness, some floral fragrance counter perfume and a touch salty. The taste has smooth malts and some caramel mixing with mild earthy black tea, a mild sense of butter and then firm pine to spicy hop bitterness. This achieve a nice balance and is pretty hoppy for a Pale Ale.

bottle at Fort Wayne tasting - Pours mostly clear copper with an off-white head. It smells of citrus hops. The flavor is quite bitter with plenty of citrus hops and some caramel malt definitely taking a back seat role. It’s medium bodied and quite tasty. The bitterness is high enough to arguably be in IPA territory.

Location: 22 oz bottle from jcos's trip to Rozi's Wine and Liquor House, 12/5/09

Aroma: The nose has lots of pine citrus, and resiny hops with some toasty caramel
Appearance: A mostly clear orange-copper color with a bubbly white head
Flavor: Taste has a mild sweetness up-front, but is overpowered by the strong bitter finish
Palate: The body is medium with a somewhat dry and sticky mouthfeel
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a very nice example of the APA style. The taste is decent, but the nose is really quite nice, and make the beer in my opinion. I really liked what I was getting even before taking a sip of this one. A nice;y done beer, here.

Bottle. Pours a transparent copper with a medium-sized head. Aromas are some soapy citrus with a little honey and caramel. Flavor is a great mix of citrus and pine hops with caramel & toffee malt. This balances out fairly nicely for my taste, and I wish I had bought a couple more of these.
