Dark beer with a rich colour and a soft, pleasant taste. During the brewing process there is some coffee malt added, which is frequently used in the recipes of the dark beer. This allows to maintain a fine malt flavor, but has a softer aftertaste. The true fans of foamy drink consider Dunkles as the top of the beer brewing masterclass. (alc 4.6 - 4.8 %)

250ml draught at Beer House. A ruby shade to a deep dark brownish body, fair beige head, spotty lacing. Lightly roasted dark malts on the nose. Mid-sweet flavours of chocolate malts and coffee. Roasted mid-sweet malt-driven end. Far enough. (Tallinn, 05.11.2025).

Tap at the brewery. Thin body, med-high carbonation. Medium bitterness, low sweetness. Light roasted astringency, but not too bothersome. Overall rather weak character, watery, but still the best one on offer, with least amount of flaws and best drinkability. Okay.

On tap at Beer House, pours a dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, earthiness and caramel malts. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted caramel, bready malt, and toffee. Nice and malty, with a lightly sweet and very malty finish.
