Cask @ Standing Order, Edinburgh [030413]
Deep amber, clear, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft resinous piney hops, sweet light caramel malts
Taste of soft light fruity caramel malts, barley sugars, soft resinous piney hops, alcohol rather noticeable, hint of the rye, fairly easy frinking for the abv
Palate - Medium body, smooth texture, quite rich sweet palate. Finish as main flavour, quite creamy soft bit sweet slightly buttery caramel malts, dry bitter hop tail, finish is a bit too dry for me
Overall - This was OK - found it rather over bitter and dry in the finish, little bit too boozy
