Cask @ Bandstand Bar, Nairn [130213]
Amber brown, clear, thick dense creamy white head with good lacing
Aroma of soft cereal malts, hint of soft roast, light aroma. Taste of very light soft caramel malts, bit of toffee, light roast grains - I couldn’t get much else out, came across as considerably weak in flavour for the abv. Palate - light body, texture had some creaminess though.
Overall - Just came across as very bland and dull - to be honest I’ve had beers around the 2.8% - 3% range that have had much more flavour. More taste and it had the potential to be good because there’s no brewing defects in there at all...Ramp up the flavour!!!!!
