500 ml bottle, 4.1% ABV, at The Granite City (JDW), Aberdeen Airport. Copper to reddish amber colour, small white head. Minimal grainy and dusty aroma. The flavour has a little fruit and some caramel, and is otherwise grainy with moderate hops. Nice enough to drink though.

Bottle from Dobbies garden centre Ashford and drunk at home. Dobbies has an inexplicable Scottish beer distribution. Must have been a dozen rates for me. But nothing highly rated. Hazy deep amber colour lasting beige head. Hoppy as i poured it. Hop and toffee on aroma. Toffee malty in the mouth. Nowt wrong with it though. It’s a toffee malty bitter. Some bitterness on the finish. Well i thought a decent toffee hoppy bitter. Decent. Not exciting but drinkable enough to have more than one if you were down the pub.

50cl bottle thanks to unstablefable. Pours a light honey colour with a nicely proportioned head. The nose is slightly honeyed with a hint of apple and a touch of biscuits. The taste has toffee and some malty freshness. The palate is light to medium bodied with a lovely crunchy texture and a fresh finish. Overall, good bitter.

Medium though to the spritzy side mouthfeel, medium bitterness.Nice and balanced, very drinkable, doesn’t stand out at all, but indeed well made.
