The rich imperial stout which was brewed with chocolate malt and flavoured with Madagascar vanilla was born from the co-operation with the brewmaster from St. Petersburg.
This proud beer might have fit to the tables of the Czar’s court in the old days but the aficionados of craft beers are entitled to enjoy it nowadays.

A black beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has caramel maltyness, liquorice, salt liquorice. Taste has salt liquorice, caramel and rich maltyness, light vanilla. Full bodied, light stickyness. Not a complex beer, but smooth and balanced. I really like this beer.

Many thanks to djoeye for sharing a 330ml bottle of this one. The oily pour reveals a deep black body, some patches on the surface leaving scattered lacing on the glass. Promising smell of chocolate malts, roasted and mid-dry. Nutty chocolate flavours together with a vanilla bite. Smoothly roasted, long-lived finish. Full bodied. Nice sipper qualities. Spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham og Rune i H7. Svart. Mokkafarget skumring. Vaniljearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken som aromaen. Forsiktig tørr avslutning.

Bottle from SB. Dark brown almost no. Loads of chocolate, vanilla and coffee. A bit roasted, slightly oily texture.
